· Nicole Chauval to look into funding for the Seddon Shield
· MPA to seek funding for new T-shirts each year

General Business
· Brenda Day was invited to the meeting to discuss her behavior during the Nelson Marlborough Tournament. She was annoying players while they were playing their game and using foul language directed to Judyne. Brenda apologised to Judyne for her outburst, but sadly did not seem to understand that talking to people while they played their game was unacceptable. Committee accepted her apology.
· The General Rules and any subsequent rules to be forwarded to Mike Van Loon so he can consolidate and put on the website for Captains/Players to print off for themselves. Bob to forward a copy of General Rules to all Committee Members.
· Bob agrees that John Davis needs fair notice about using the Redwood Hotel as a venue for tournaments. This notice is to be followed up in writing by sending him an email.
· Judyne tabled the Women’s team for the Seddon Shield and the players are:

· Mike Budny received two letters of complaint, one from Anthony Gane re Brent Simmons’ behavior and one from Denise Simmons re Greg Hammond’s behavior.
· Peter Chandler outlined his concerns with the ongoing conflicts that were creating a difficult and hostile environment for players during rep practices.

Peter withdrew from the meeting at this point to enable the Committee to reach a decision on men’s team selection.
A secret ballot was held. The outcome was to that the Brent Simmons, Anthony Gane and Greg Hammond would not be selected for the 2015 Seddon Shield Tournament.

· Letters will be written to Brent Simmons, Greg Hammond and Anthony Gane notifying them of the Committee’s decision.
· Nicole Chauval has asked for a minimum of four abled bodied people to set up of the tables for the Seddon Shield. Barry (Pot Black) will put the tables up on the Friday 4th 9am and tables will come down after the last games are played on the Saturday 5th.
· Nicole will talk with Kelly at Clubs of Marlborough re food for 100-120 people for the Seddon Shield prize giving.
· Bob Henderson to organise raffles to be run over the two days..
· Nicole will ask Barry (Pot Black) for score sheets
· Bob Henderson to arrange trophies and miniatures.
· Gail is liaising with Christine from Nelson with regards to draw and contact addresses for teams.
· Mike Van Loon asked that a decision be made to reinstate the cutoff time for scoresheets. The committee agreed that as from 12 August no late scores will be accepted. Passed
· Mike Van Loon has requested that Post Section play should not move to a different venue. Failed
· Mike Van Loon would like the title Open Singles to be renamed to Open Mixed Singles Passed
· Resolution: That the Marlborough Pool Association Inc. apply for a funding grant from one of the community charities to assist with the costs of hiring pool tables to enable the association to host the upcoming Seddon Shield Pool Tournament to be held in Marlborough on 4th & 5th September Carried
