Previous Minutes

The minutes of the meeting of 1 Jun 2016 were distributed to the Committee and confirmed as a true and correct record.

Actions Arising from Previous Minutes

• The end of year function was discussed and all agreed to have a Mystery Bus Trip with destinations to be decided.

Correspondence

• Remit for Seddon Shield received from Ross Paton. In summary – if there is a dispute during a game and the two umpires can’t resolve the dispute, Ross would like to see the Managers or Senior Umpire from the three non-participating teams to resolve the dispute, then it goes to the Head Umpire.
  The committee agreed with this and the Remit was emailed to Marilyn Berendt

General Business

• Bob Henderson has two quotes for trophies: Aura $1,117.50 and Awards $1,057.00. It was discussed and decided to go with the local company Aura
  
  
• Nicole Chauval has received two quotes for accommodation for Seddon Shield Tournament and will seek funding
  
  
• It was suggested that Mills Toyota has a community van that we might be able to use. This will be followed up
  
  
• Peter Chandler has asked for approval to take 2 reserves to the Seddon Shield to give some of the new up and coming players a chance at the rep team. They will assist with adjudicating and setting up tables. The committee agreed
  
  
• Gail Perano to make 180 tickets sequentially numbered for the Mystery Bus Trip. Tickets will be sold for $20.00 each entitling the holder to both the bus trip and food or just the food at the last stop
  
  
• Peter Chandler asked whether or not we need to pick a player of the day at tournaments. This was discussed and decided that there is no need for a player of the day. The Committee all agreed
  
  
• Mike Budny to speak with Max about hiring one or two buses for the Seddon Shield Tournament
  
  
• Mike Van Loon presented a Laptop which Neville wants to sell for $100.00. This Laptop would be used for tournament scores and any other MPA requirements. A1 Drycleaners has agreed to purchase this Laptop for MPA.
  
  
• Mike Van Loon to tidy up the General Rules for the next meeting Bob to supply Mike the latest version
