General Business
· Malcolm was invited to discuss his bad behavior at the Nelson/Marlborough Tournament; there was an announcement that all players must call all shots. During Malcolm’s game, Malcolm did not nominate a ball and was fouled. Malcolm started yelling; swearing and generally displayed an over the top protest to the change is rules. Peter Chandler told the committee that he had spoken with Malcolm and that Malcolm was very apologetic for his outburst. Then Malcolm apologised to the committee in person.
It was tabled that the committee accept Malcolm’s apology

· Gail Perano to ensure all Captains have a copy of the World Eight Ball Rules to give to their players
· John Davis has issues with the way Tournaments are allocated to the Redwood Hotel with very little contact, requesting the use of the tables
· John Davis is not happy with the lack of advertising for Tournaments
· John Davis would like to see ranking on Tuesday Interclub Pool
Mike Budny to follow up with John’s issues
· Letter of complaint, from Judyne & Gail about the behavior of Brenda (Bee) Day during a number of games at the Nelson/Marlborough Tournament. As Brenda had not been invited for her right of reply, she will be invited to join the committee at our next meeting.
· MPA to seek funding for new T-shirts each year

· Resolution: That the Marlborough Pool Association Inc. apply for a funding grant from one of the community charities to assist with the costs of hiring pool tables to enable the association to host the upcoming Seddon Shield Pool Tournament to be held in Marlborough on 4th & 5th September
